About the event
Youth Rangers is a group for secondary-aged young people (11-17 years) keen to make a positive difference to their local environment. We meet throughout the year at various Cambridgeshire nature reserves and would love to welcome you to our group.
Please note:
Bookings are not confirmed until we have received your completed paperwork and consent form (for each child).
The Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire is a 50% shareholder in Muchwood Green Burials. Situated on the outskirts of Ramsey, Muchwood is a beautiful, peaceful developing woodland with a wealth of wildlife that we are helping to monitor. People are becoming increasingly aware of and concerned about their impact on the environment. Muchwood green burials allows people to continue to care for the environment after their passing.
Join Youth Rangers this month to help with on-site tasks such as watering trees and cutting back vegetation around plaques to support the management of this wonderful woodland burial site. Whilst carrying out these tasks, you will discover the wealth of wildlife on site including birds, pollinators, and flora and meet Chris who has looked after the site for over 25 years.
Please bring water and dress appropriately for the weather - Layers and waterproofs as needed, hats and sun lotion if hot. Long sleeves, trousers and hiking boots/wellies are recommended. Refreshments provided (hot drink and biscuits).
